Odyssea Marine, Inc. was founded in 1998 to meet the maritime transportation needs of the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico. That same year, Odyssea purchased North Bank Towing Corporation, and began offering towing vessels and tugs.
Odyssea expanded its fleet in 2005, purchasing two 3000 HP class tugs, and in January of 2006, Odyssea acquired six supply vessels from Lytal Enterprises, Inc., ranging in length from 135 to 165 feet.
Currently, Odyssea is organized into two operating divisions:
- North Bank Towing Division (Berwick, LA) – Operational responsibility for towing supply, tugs, dive, and construction support vessels
- Offshore Supply Vessel (Larose, LA) – Operational responsibility for offshore supply vessels.
