COMAR Marine Company Profile

This week shines the Spotlight of Opportunity on COMAR Marine, LLC. Here’s what you need to know:

About this Marine Transportation Company

Based in Amelia, Louisiana, COMAR Marine, LLC opened its doors in 1955. The company’s goal, then and now, is to provide customers with high quality vessels and skilled crews. COLMAR is unwavering in their commitment to complete customer satisfaction.

COMAR is a marine transportation company, and one of several family-owned and operated companies that includes a repair and construction yard, Seacraft Shipyard. The yard provides repairs (both major and minor), new construction, USCG dry docking, and topside inspections. COLMAR’s relationship with Seacraft gives COMAR’s vessels preferred service at the yard, cutting repair cost and time significantly.

COMAR’s mission is to provide efficient, safe, and environmentally responsible crews and vessels to support the offshore industry.  Currently, the company is in the process of merging with Iberia Marine and Texas Crewboats to form a larger, combined company – Seatran Marine. You can find out more about the merger here.

COMAR’s fleet is made up of nine crewboats that range in size from 110 to 170 feet in length. For more vessel specs, see the Vessels link on COMAR’s website.
